A Reiki Treatment
- is a light, hands-on process whereby a Reiki
practitioner transfers universal life energy to the
recipient. The Reiki practitioner is a vehicle for the
energy; the receiver's body, mind and spirit determine
how much Reiki is received and the progress made in one's
own healing process. Reiki can help address pain and
acute symptoms quite rapidly while more chronic problems
may require extensive treatment. Length of treatment
depends upon the root cause of the problem and the amount
of energy needed to revitalize and bring into balance the
ailing area or system of the body. Reiki works in
conjuction with and as an adjunct to medical,
psychological, and non-medical treatment.
Receiving a Reiki treatment
- is a unique experience usually resulting in a deep
feeling of peace, well-being and comfort. You relax,
fully clothed and under a sheet or blanket; the
practitioner's hands are placed in a specific sequence of
positions on your head, chest, and back. The entire
treatment takes just over an hour. During the treatment
you may speak or relax in silence. You may fall asleep or
experience a variety of sensations like heat, coolness,
tingling, lightness. And you may experience no outward
physical sensations.
A treatment
- catalyzes the body's natural ability to heal. It is
non- manipulative, non-invasive and non-intrusive.
Healing can occur on an level: physical, mental,
emotional, or spiritual. Your body, mind and spirit will
use Reiki in whatever way will best serve your higest
good.
After the treatment
- Reiki supports your body in functioning more
efficiently and may influence the way food, drink and
medications affect you. If you are on medication and
notice any changes, please consult your physician. Your
medical doctor is the only person qualified to make any
changes in your medication.
